Microwave Cooking Bechamel Ingredients
- 3 1/2 tbsp butter
- 3 1/2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups whole milk
- 2 pinches salt
- to taste nutmeg

Microwave Cooking Bechamel Preparation
To prepare the bechamel, cut the butter into pieces and place it in a microwave-safe bowl, preferably glass. Set your microwave to 1 minute at maximum power.
Remove the container from the microwave with the butter now melted, add the flour and stir with a wooden spoon or a hand whisk until the butter absorbs it all.
Add half of the milk at room temperature and whisk to dissolve, it only takes a few moments.
Place the container back in the microwave at maximum power for 1 minute.
Remove it, stir, and add the remaining milk.Place it back in the microwave at maximum power this time for two minutes.
Remove, stir, season with salt and a bit of freshly grated nutmeg, and..
your bechamel is ready. 😉If you want it thicker, just extend cooking at 750w for another minute, until reaching the desired consistency.
