What you need for the sponge cake roll
- 4 eggs
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 1/3 tbsp sunflower seed oil
What you need to prepare this roll
- 1 Electric Whisk
- Spatula
- 1 Baking Pan rectangular oven
- Parchment Paper
Preparation of the sponge cake roll
To prepare the sponge cake roll sift the flour multiple times and set aside.
Beat the eggs with the sugar until you have a white and frothy mixture using electric whisks.
Add the oil in a thin stream while continuing to beat.
Preheat the oven to 390°F.
Take a rubber spatula and add the flour to the eggs in several batches, mixing from bottom to top to incorporate without deflating the mixture.
Take a baking pan 12 x 8 inches and line it with parchment paper.
Pour the sponge cake roll mixture, turning the pan to make it reach the edges.
Bake in a hot oven on the middle rack for 8 minutes.
Remove from the oven and immediately roll your roll leaving the parchment paper attached, close it well and let it cool covered with a kitchen towel.
Once cooled, unroll, remove the parchment paper, and fill it as you like, rolling it gently.

Storage
The roll can be stored in the fridge for 2 or 3 days closed in a plastic food bag, you can freeze it rolled and then let it thaw and fill it as you like.
