A vegan cream that can also be used as a sweetener by replacing the plant-based milk with water, and you will make fabulous cakes without using sugar.
This vegan date cream is also delicious with the addition of chocolate, spread on a slice of toasted bread or on a rice cake (if you are on a diet) it’s perfect.
Dates are a great source of potassium and minerals and can be used in small amounts in the case of a low-calorie or hyperglycemic diet.

Ingredients for the Vegan Date Cream
- 5.6 oz dates, dried (pitted)
- cup plant-based milk (soy)
- 1.4 oz toasted hazelnuts
- cup water (to be used instead of plant-based milk)
- 2.8 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (to be added to the rest of the main ingredients)

Preparation of Vegan Date Cream
To prepare the Vegan Date Cream, first pit the dates and cut them into coarse pieces.
Place the dates in the immersion blender cup or inside a food processor equipped with blades.
Add the plant-based milk and toasted hazelnuts and blend intermittently until you get the consistency of a thick and full-bodied cream.
For the chocolate version, perfect for spreading on a cookie, a slice of bread, or a crostini, add the unsweetened cocoa along with the other ingredients.
Blend raising and lowering the immersion blender so that the cocoa is well incorporated with the rest of the ingredients.
If you want to use the date cream also as a sweetener, you must replace the plant-based milk with water.
Obviously, do not add the unsweetened cocoa and blend everything as in the previous version.
The water-based date cream is also perfect for spreading for a super light vegan diet.
Use 100 grams of date cream instead of 100 grams of sugar as a sweetener in all kinds of desserts.
