Recipe: cabbage rolls in air fryer
In a bowl, place the ground meat, egg, and grated Parmesan cheese and mix the mixture, then incorporate the chopped parsley and garlic, salt, and pepper.
Finally, add the breadcrumbs and mix everything together, now the filling for the rolls is ready.
Detach the leaves from the cabbage and choose the widest ones, wash them well and blanch them for about 5 minutes in slightly salted boiling water, they should be cooked but not too soft. Drain them and let them dry spread out on a cloth.
Now prepare the rolls: spread each leaf well, place a spoonful of meat filling in the center, fold the top first, then the sides, and finally roll up the leaf to seal each bundle well.
Line the air fryer basket with the appropriate perforated parchment paper, and arrange the rolls side by side, salt, pepper, and spray a little extra virgin olive oil.
Cook the cabbage rolls for 15–20 minutes at 356°F (cooking times may vary depending on the size of the rolls and the model of the air fryer. I recommend keeping an eye on the cooking and, if necessary, cutting one of the rolls to check that the meat is well cooked). Remove from the fryer and serve!
For the success of the dish, the rolls must have well-cooked meat and golden, crispy cabbage. Delicious and tasty, meat stuffed cabbage rolls are a good idea to bring to the table for a simple and genuine lunch. Enjoy your meal!
Storage and tips
Storage: cabbage and meat rolls can be kept in the fridge for 1-2 days in an airtight container. Before consuming them again, I recommend reheating them.
Tips: you can also steam the cabbage.
You can make the filling with your preferred meat such as ground beef or add pork to the mixed ground meat; if you wish, you can omit the breadcrumbs.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
I don’t have an air fryer, how can I cook cabbage rolls?
There are two other alternative cooking methods to the air fryer that I recommend:
– the first is in the traditional oven, you can bake at 374°F for about 30 minutes;
– the second is in a pan, just brown them in a little oil, add a ladle of broth and continue cooking for about 20 minutes covered with a lid.
