FRIED EGGS

Fried eggs or sunny-side-up eggs, here’s the recipe to make them perfect. Despite the simplicity of the preparation, making a perfect fried egg requires some small tricks, such as separating the white from the yolk during cooking in the pan.
With few ingredients (eggs, olive oil, salt, and pepper) and a few steps, you can make a quick meal in no time.

Tasty and appetizing, the fried eggs are a simple variant of hard-boiled eggs in tomato sauce. Today’s recipe reminds me of my father, as he always ate sunny-side-up eggs accompanied by a nice bowl of mixed salad, Tropea red onion, and tomatoes. I’ve added various seeds and multi-grain whole wheat bread because I like them a lot!

I’ll leave you with a curiosity… Thanks to this photo of fried eggs, I won a cooking contest. I have to say it was liked by everyone, and I hope you like it too. See you next time!!!

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • as needed olive oil
  • as needed salt
  • as needed black pepper
  • A few leaves lettuce
  • 12 cherry tomatoes
  • Half Tropea red onion
  • 1 oz mixed seeds
  • A few slices multi-grain whole wheat bread

Tools: fried eggs

  • Small Frying Pan

Recipe

  • In a nonstick frying pan, put a swirl of olive oil and when it’s hot, pour only the egg white first and then, as soon as the white sets, the yolk in the center.
Cook on low heat, salt the white and pepper the yolk.
Repeat the process for the other eggs.

Note: to separate the yolks from the whites, you can use the special tool, which is the egg separator.

  • To enrich the dish, you can serve the fried eggs as shown in the photo:
Place a few lettuce leaves (I used canasta) on the serving plate, then place the sunny-side-up egg on top, and finally add some halved cherry tomatoes, slices of Tropea onion, and some mixed seeds (optional).
Now all that’s left is to dip the bread into the yolk and enjoy its softness and creaminess. I found it pairs excellently with multi-grain whole wheat bread.
    Enjoy your meal!

Storage

Storage: Fried eggs should be eaten immediately after cooking.
Tips: It’s preferable to use freshly ground black pepper.
You can replace olive oil with butter.
