Fig salad, a super easy but impressive recipe. You only need a few ingredients and 10 minutes for a chic and flavorful dish, perfect for a Christmas or Christmas Eve appetizer. It can be prepared by anyone, even those less experienced in the kitchen because there is no cooking involved.

Ingredients
- 6 figs
- 3 1/2 oz lamb's lettuce
- 1 oz chopped pistachios
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 pinches fine salt
- 1 pinch mixed peppercorns
- 3 tbsp grated Grana Padano cheese
Tools
- 1 Cutting board
- 1 Oval dish
Preparation of Fig Salad
Wash the figs well, remove the stems, and dry them thoroughly with paper towels.
On a serving plate, or several small plates if you prefer to make individual servings, lay a bed of lamb’s lettuce.
Then slice the figs horizontally into slices about 1/8 inch thick and place them on top of the lamb’s lettuce.
Sprinkle the figs with chopped pistachios.
Season with a pinch of salt, a grind of fresh pepper, and some olive oil.
Finally, sprinkle everything with grated Grana Padano cheese.
And voilà… your fig salad is ready to be served!

Useful Tips
If you can’t find purple figs, feel free to substitute them with green ones; they’ll be less visually striking but just as tasty.
If you don’t like pistachios, use chopped walnuts instead.
