The guacamole sauce originally from Mexico is an avocado-based sauce seasoned with various ingredients including Serrano del Sol, a very, very spicy chili pepper. Guacamole has now made its way onto tables all over the world, and besides accompanying various Mexican foods, it can be served with grilled meats, cheeses, on crostini, and many other dishes of your choice, and of course, it is a must on a table set for an appetizer.

Useful Tips

As an alternative to green chili pepper, you can use 1 local chili or 1 teaspoon of chili powder. If you use Mexican chili, be careful not to touch your eyes when cleaning it.

Choose a ripe enough avocado, or else you won’t be able to mash it, and the final result won’t be creamy.
