- 1 sprig rosemary
Tools
- 1 Frying Pan
- 1 Pot
- 1 Spatula
Preparation of Trofie with Nuts Pesto
First, bring water to a boil where you will cook the trofie, once boiling add coarse salt and drop the pasta.
Meanwhile in a large pan pour the NUTS PESTO (for the recipe click on the blue text) add a sprig of rosemary and half a ladle of trofie cooking water. Stir until the pesto becomes nice and creamy.
When the trofie are almost cooked, drain them directly into the pan with the sauce and stir to mix the sauce and pasta well.
Finish cooking and if you see that the sauce has dried too much add a little more cooking water.
Only at the end remove the rosemary sprig and adjust salt to taste.
And voilà… the trofie with nuts pesto are ready to be brought to the table and amaze friends and family.
Useful tips
I advise you not to add salt to the dressing or do so only at the end because the nuts pesto, having sun-dried tomatoes inside, is quite flavorful on its own.
Of course, you can use the pasta format you like and also dry pasta.
