12 Spoons Cake – Easy and Fragrant without Butter

A very fragrant 12 spoons cake WITHOUT BUTTER and with a strong lemon aroma (but you can use others like vanilla, rum, almond) cooked in an 18 cm Angel Cake mold for extra tall slices. The 12 spoons cake uses the tablespoon as a unit of measure: it is very easy to make and very good for breakfast and snacks.

Since the 12 spoons cake without butter has a soft dough, you can also fill it with a milk cream, lemon cream, meringue buttercream… it’s a perfect cake even if properly filled with some delicious cream!

Ingredients RECIPE 12 Spoons Cake

  • 3 medium eggs
  • 12 tablespoons Sugar
  • 12 tablespoons vegetable oil (I use corn)
  • 12 tablespoons Milk
  • 12 tablespoons All-purpose flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1 organic lemon (juice and zest)

Preparation RECIPE CAKE WITHOUT A SCALE

  • 12 Tablespoons Cake
  • In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the sugar: the mixture should double in volume.

    Add the vegetable oil and, after mixing everything, also pour in the milk.

  • Now add the amount of sifted flour together with the baking powder.

  • Add the juice and zest of the lemons, preferably untreated or organic.

    P.S. Add the juice after straining it to avoid seeds and impurities.

  • Pour the butter-free mixture into the chosen mold, previously buttered and floured.

  • As mentioned above, I used the mold for the Angel Cake, very tall and 18 cm in diameter, because I wanted a very tall cake.

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 40-45 minutes, depending on the characteristics of your oven.

  • Once cooked, let it cool and serve at the table.

    Lightly fragrant delicately aromatic: here is the 12 spoons cake fragrant and without butter!
