12 Tablespoons Cake – Butter-Free, Easy and Fragrant

A 12 tablespoons cake that is highly fragrant, BUTTER-FREE, and lemon-flavored (but you can use other flavors like vanilla, rum, almond) baked in an 18 cm Angel Cake mold to get very tall slices. The 12 tablespoons cake uses a tablespoon as the measurement unit: it is very easy to make and great for breakfast and snack.

Since the butter-free 12 tablespoon cake has a soft batter, you can also fill it with a milk cream, lemon cream, meringue buttercream… in short, it’s a perfect cake even when filled with some delicious cream!

Chocolate Variant

If you want to make the 12 tablespoons chocolate cake, instead of 12 tablespoons of flour, use 10 tablespoons of flour and 2 of unsweetened cocoa.

Ingredients RECIPE 12 Tablespoons Cake

  • 3 medium eggs
  • 12 tablespoons Sugar
  • 12 tablespoons vegetable oil (I used corn oil)
  • 12 tablespoons Milk
  • 12 tablespoons All-purpose flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1 organic lemon (juice and zest)

Preparation RECIPE SCALE-FREE CAKE

  • 12 Tablespoons Cake
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs with the sugar: the mixture should double in volume.

    Add now the vegetable oil and, after mixing everything, also pour in the milk.

  • Now add the sifted flour together with the baking powder.

  • Add the juice and zest of the lemons, preferably untreated or organic.

    P.S. Add the juice after straining it through a sieve to avoid seeds and impurities.

  • Pour the butter-free mixture into the chosen mold, previously greased and floured.

  • As mentioned above, I used an Angel Cake mold, very tall and 7 inches in diameter, because I wanted a very tall cake.

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 40-45 minutes, depending on your oven’s characteristics.

  • Once cooked, let it cool and serve.

    Light, fragrant, delicately scented: here is the 12 tablespoons cake fragrant and butter-free!
