A quick and tasty gluten-free recipe of asparagus and bacon that I’m sure you will make and remake because it’s simple and delicious; it can serve as an appetizer or a side dish and is very appetizing.
I used bacon but if you prefer and have some left in the fridge, you can use prosciutto, pancetta, and even speck!
I thought of adding a sprinkle of sesame seeds but then having to deal with the young troublemaker at home, I gave up the idea for peace of mind!
This type of asparagus breadsticks with bacon can also be varied by replacing the cured meat with strips of ready-made puff pastry that before baking I would brush with a little beaten egg yolk and then let it bake at 375°F for about 20 minutes.
ASPARAGUS has many beneficial properties:
– They contain polyphenols and high amounts of minerals, especially potassium, which are suitable for combating water retention problems due to their interesting diuretic action;
– They are low in calories;
– For intolerant people, asparagus contains relatively low amounts of nickel but rather significant amounts of acetylsalicylic acid.
