Baked Au Gratin Leeks

in

Baked au gratin leeks are a simple and wholesome side dish, perfect for bringing the full flavor of seasonal vegetables to the table.

The leek is one of winter’s main vegetables: delicate, slightly sweet, and rich in beneficial properties. In this recipe, it is enhanced and flavored with a few traditional ingredients – butter, parmesan, and breadcrumbs – that turn it into a tasty dish.

It’s an easy side dish to prepare and can accompany meat or fish main courses. The baked au gratin leeks are very simple and can be made in advance!

I also make a tasty recipe with leeks: I cut them lengthwise into strips without using the green, then quickly flour them and fry them! They crunch when you eat them, and with a pinch of salt, they’re so good!!!

In this recipe, you need to Blanch the leeks

Blanching: a preliminary cooking operation, where the chosen food is immersed in a saucepan with boiling water and drained after a few minutes to reduce a bitter or acrid taste, to soften it, to brighten its color, to remove excess salt or fat, or to peel it more easily.
