RECIPE BAKED CAMEMBERT WITH HERBS

This is certainly not a recipe but just a delicious way to eat Camembert, the famous French soft cheese, without worrying about calories, cholesterol, and other things.

There are different varieties of Camembert depending on the aging process, such as Normandy, Calvados, fermier, and cider-aged.

I clearly bought the usual one we find in all supermarkets in wooden boxes and thought of pairing it with the crudités I was preparing for lunch.

Baked Camembert with Herbs is not a recipe, but it’s so, so good if, like me, you love cheeses, especially melty ones with a crust!

Ingredients RECIPE BAKED CAMEMBERT WITH HERBS

  • 1 Camembert
  • to taste rosemary
  • to taste thyme
  • to taste garlic
  • to taste mixed vegetables for crudités
  • to taste Extra virgin olive oil

Preparation RECIPE BAKED CAMEMBERT WITH HERBS

  • Remove the Camembert from the packaging and with a sharp knife, score it on the crust with diamond shapes.

    In the cuts, place sprigs of rosemary, thyme, and very thin slices of garlic.

  • Put the Camembert back in the box, add a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil, and bake in a preheated oven at 392°F until the cheese melts and opens like a flower.

  • Wash and cut into strips the chosen vegetables for the crudités like peppers, fennel, and carrots.

    Clean the strings from the celery and cut it into sticks and put all the vegetables in a large bowl.

  • Take the box of the melted Camembert cheese and place it on a serving plate, and rush to the table to taste this delicacy.
