Baked Hake Fillets with Crunchy Aromatic Bread

These baked hake fillets with crunchy aromatic bread are a quick seafood main course and convenient to make because you just need frozen hake hearts, chop a few slices of toast bread with sun-dried tomatoes in oil and some parmesan flakes and in no time this sea dish is served on the table!

The HAKE FILLETS are firm, tender yet consistent in texture, and the flavorful breading is very pleasant and it’s a dish that can be prepared in advance and baked just in the last 10/15 minutes in the oven.

Frozen hake fillets are convenient in the kitchen, already cleaned without bones ready for many delicious and appetizing sea dishes!

Hake fish chunks are perfect both baked and pan-cooked.

I recommend buying a portion of 5 oz at least per person of hake fillets...

Baked Hake Fillets with Crunchy Aromatic Bread

Ingredients

  • 4 slices hake (frozen and left 2/3 hours in the fridge before using, even from evening to morning!)
  • 4 slices white sandwich bread (toast bread with or without crust as desired)
  • 3 sun-dried tomatoes in oil
  • 1.5 oz raspadura (parmesan flakes)
  • 2 pinches dried oregano
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil

Steps

  • Simple and very appetizing recipe for a seafood main course with hake…shall we start?

    1) Preheat the oven to 375°F mode static.

    2) In the mixer put the bread, drained sun-dried tomatoes, oregano, cheese flakes and coarsely chop everything.

    3) Just grease the baking dish and place the defrosted frozen fillets.

    4) Sprinkle them with the breading, pressing it well to make it stick to the fish.

    5) Season with salt and pepper the hake fillets with crunchy aromatic breading.

    6) Drizzle everything with extra virgin olive oil and bake my seafood main course hake.

    7) Cook for about 20/25 minutes or according to your oven, then after a few minutes of cooling, serve at the table.

    Enjoy your meal with the seafood main course based on hake fillets!

1) The breading is very tasty and we can also use it for other fish like cod!

2) The breading can be customized by eliminating oregano and adding parsley and grated lemon zest but also thyme, which is excellent on fish dishes.
