The baked pasta with asparagus, prosciutto and scamorza is a creamy and flavorful first course perfect for spring.
Asparagus, prosciutto crudo and melty cheese are a very tasty idea for this dish; you can vary it by using, for example, mozzarella or asiago, or choosing COOKED HAM instead of raw…
THE SCAMORZA is a stretched-curd cheese originating from Southern Italy with a fresh flavor somewhat resembling mozzarella and is, unfortunately, fairly high in calories!
It is usually eaten raw, grilled and served with grilled vegetables or placed on pizza or other savory leavened recipes.

FOR THE PREPARATION OF BAKED PASTA WITH ASPARAGUS, PROSCIUTTO AND SCAMORZA
Clean the asparagus and cut them into fairly large pieces.
Also slice the scamorza into cubes and the prosciutto crudo into strips or… however you prefer! ^_*
Bring salted water to a boil in a saucepan and at the right moment add the sedanini macaroni as I did, or you can use gramigna, penne or other pasta shapes…
With 5 minutes remaining in the pasta’s cooking time, add the asparagus to the water and continue for the needed time.
While the pasta cooks, place the pieces of prosciutto crudo and scamorza in a large bowl.
When the pasta is cooked, drain it and put it into the bowl with the other ingredients, adding extra virgin olive oil and seasoning with salt and pepper.
Mix well, then transfer the seasoned pasta into the lightly oiled baking pan and sprinkle everything with grated cheese.
Now all that’s left is to bake the baked pasta with asparagus, prosciutto and scamorza, cooking at 356°F for about 15 minutes, taking care to switch the oven to broil for the final minutes to get a nice, tasty crust!
And now let’s serve this tasty and appetizing dish at the table…
Enjoy your meal!

TODAY, MAY 10, 2023 I corrected a few words in the recipe and found the attachments above… I was about to delete them but after all they are worth remembering so that if we ever find ourselves in a similar situation, those in government understand well how to act toward citizens — I’m not criticizing anyone!
