Sea bream, along with the sea bass, is my favorite fish with its juicy white meat, very digestible and with great benefits for our body.
In fact, it is a fish that thanks to vitamin B6 strengthens the immune system and with vitamin B2 fights anemia and helps to absorb iron better.
The sea bream can be grilled, baked, pan-fried, or steamed.
The sea bream is considered a semi-fat fish (while the sea bass is lean) with a fat percentage between 3 and 8%.

- 1 sea bream (about 1 lb)
- 8 cherry tomatoes
- 1/3 bell pepper
- 2 potatoes
- 2 shallots
- 10 Taggiasca olives (pitted)
- 3 leaves basil
- to taste extra virgin olive oil
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper

FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE BAKED SEA BREAM WITH VEGETABLES RECIPE
1) For this fish preparation I usually take a sea bream that I then scale and gut myself in the kitchen, but this is a service that the fish counter attendant in supermarkets can also perform, so it’s your choice!
2) After scaling and gutting the sea bream I rinse it well under running water and place it in a dish that can comfortably hold the vegetables accompanying the sea fish.
3) Then I peel the potatoes, peel the shallot, remove seeds and filaments from the peppers, and cut the cherry tomatoes into wedges, of course, I do all this after washing the vegetables.
4) Place the vegetables in the baking tray and then salt, pepper, and drizzle them with extra virgin olive oil.
5) At this point, all that’s left is to bake the sea bream with vegetables, cooking for about 30/35 minutes or depending on the characteristics of your home appliance.
6) Steaming and juicy, here is our sea bream ready to be enjoyed on the table…

I cut the potatoes rather thinly and they cooked in the time indicated but if you want larger pieces, parboil them for 4/5 minutes in a saucepan starting from cold water.
