Not quite a recipe today with these baked spiced chickpeas, a delightful and very appetizing idea to serve as a starter which needs to be expanded to other courses, otherwise it’s a bit skimpy for me haha! As spices
I added some paprika and curry, but also some chili, making it all intriguing!
The chickpeas are the canned ones, but if you’re skilled and have more time, soak dry chickpeas with a pinch of baking soda and let them soak overnight before proceeding to boil them.
Chickpeas are very ancient legumes rich in protein, vitamins A and B, and minerals. They are used in cooking for soups, stews, sides, but also for vegetarian main dishes and more!!

Ingredients for BAKED SPICED CHICKPEAS
- 14 oz cooked chickpeas
- 1 tablespoon curry
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon chili
- to taste extra virgin olive oil
- to taste salt

Preparation for BAKED SPICED CHICKPEAS
Rub the chickpeas to remove the skin and pat them dry with kitchen paper.
Place them in a baking tray lined with parchment paper, adding 2/3 tablespoons of EVO oil.
Bake them in the oven at 356/374°F for about 40 minutes, then add the chosen spices, mix well, and season with salt.
Let them cool and serve as a quick snack for an appetizer… very spicy! Enjoy with baked spiced chickpeas!
