Ingredients for BASQUE STYLE CHICKEN STRIPS RECIPE
- 1.32 lbs chicken breast
- 1 clove of garlic
- 3 bell peppers (yellow, green, red)
- 4 tomatoes (ripe and firm)
- 2 Onions (white or yellow)
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- as needed extra virgin olive oil
- as needed fine salt
- as needed black pepper
- 1 tbsp paprika (sweet for me)
- as needed parsley
- as needed thyme
- as needed chili pepper

Preparation for BASQUE STYLE CHICKEN STRIPS RECIPE
• In a large pan, brown the chicken pieces in a little extra virgin olive oil for 5 minutes. In another saucepan, add the extra virgin olive oil and brown the garlic clove. Remove it and then add the sliced onions.
• Over medium heat, brown the onions for 5 minutes.
Now add the sliced bell peppers, tomato wedges, and aromatic herbs.
Stir well and add the paprika and tomato paste.
Cook for about 10 minutes, adding a little hot water if the preparation dries out too much.
Now add the vegetables to the chicken, adjust the salt and pepper, and continue cooking for about 30 minutes.
If the Basque style chicken strips dry out too much, add a ladle of hot water.
