Bresaola Cappelletti

Bresaola Cappelletti is a super quick recipe for an appetizer ready in 10 minutes 10!
It’s an idea for the savory buffet that we can vary because the filling I prepared with robiola can be varied using also classic or herb Philadelphia cream cheese or even slightly dry ricotta could work well as stuffing.
If you want the crunchy note, you can add some walnut pieces that go really well besides BEING good for our body.
To flavor the center of my quick appetizer cappelletto, I put a fine chop of basil, a drizzle of good olive oil, and just a pinch of salt and pepper, simple ingredients we always have at home.
These delicious bresaola candies can be made spicy by adding arugula and mixing it with the chosen cheese… in short, as always, the final word is yours!
The cappelletti, or rather caplét, are a first course I adore, and my mom used to make them excellently, a staple of Romagna cuisine.

Ingredients

  • 3.5 oz bresaola
  • 7.1 oz robiola
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste basil (finely chopped)
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Preparation of the Bresaola Cappelletti Recipe

  • For this quick bresaola cappelletti recipe, I put the chosen stuffing cheese, for me robiola, in a bowl!

  • I mix a little with a teaspoon, then add a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and a generous chop of fresh basil.

  • I mix well and adjust with salt and pepper.

    I take a slice of bresaola and put a walnut-sized piece of filling in the center of the slice and close it into a semicircle.

  • Then I join the ends as you see in the photo, and voilà, the bresaola cappelletto filled with cheese is ready for tasting!
