CARROT AND MINT LIQUEUR

A new liqueur today, the carrot and mint liqueur, also with the addition of the grated zest of an organic or untreated orange, a delightful digestif with very balanced natural aromas.
The mix of orange and carrot is a classic, and the addition of fresh mint makes the taste unique and pleasant.
For this liqueur, I used 70°F Etilfrutto alcohol and not the 90°F one that I added, which you can find on the blog. The lower alcohol content is recommended for all those recipes involving fruit in spirits or infusions to be less aggressive than the more known 90°F.
I also suggest these collections of liqueur recipes where you will find the recipes for Fragolino, Bananino, liqueur with coffee beans, cocoa liqueur, and much more!

PREPARATION FOR THE CARROT AND MINT LIQUEUR RECIPE

  • Wash the carrots and remove the outer part with a peeler.

Continue to make many carrot ribbons and set them aside.

  • Grate the organic orange zest and set it aside as well.

Strip the mint stems and clean the leaves with a damp piece of paper towel.

  • In a bottle or jar, place the mint leaves (I left them whole), the cloves, the carrot ribbons, the organic orange zest, and the 70°F alcohol.

  • Seal the carrot and mint liqueur well and let it rest in a place away from light and heat sources for 8 days.

  • After the resting time, prepare a syrup with water and sugar and let the liquid simmer for a few minutes.

  • Strain the liquid that has been resting and add the cold syrup, mixing everything well.

  • Let the carrot and mint liqueur rest for another 7 days before tasting…

It’s delightful and unique, absolutely pleasant, to be stored in the fridge and consumed within 3 months.

    Enjoy your meal!
