An easy recipe with quick cooking but …with a marinade that I left all night in the fridge for chicken skewers with honey and soy, tender and delicious!
I confess that I went a little by feel meaning that I added both soy sauce and honey without a precise measurement in grams but …they are ingredients added by intuition and I invite you to do the same!
I chose to grill the chicken skewers flavored by the mixed marinade because it is quick and in summer it’s better not to stay by the stove too long, but we can clearly cook this chicken in the oven too!
In summer, chicken meat is perfect for quick slices in the pan or on the grill, and if there’s any left over, we can add it to a mixed salad with arugula, iceberg, cherry tomatoes, and much more for a fresh and nutritious one-course meal.
White chicken meat is not too caloric but very digestible and is favored even by those who follow a light and tasty diet.

Ingredients for Chicken Skewers with Honey and Soy Recipe
- 9 oz chicken breast
- to taste soy sauce
- to taste acacia honey
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper

Steps
1) Cut into strips the chicken breast and start inserting them onto the wooden skewers.
2) As I finish them, I place them in a container where they can comfortably fit in length and try NOT to stack too many on top of each other so that the marinade can flavor them and make them tender and succulent.
3) Once finished preparing the skewers in a bowl I put the honey, the salt, the pepper, and the soy sauce, mixing the liquid well and then pouring it over the chicken skewers.
4) Close the container possibly in an airtight manner and place it in the fridge for at least 3 hours: I marinated the skewer meat overnight!
5) When it’s time to serve I put the grill over high heat and as it gets hot, I cook the skewers with chicken meat which I dried a little from the marinade because I feared the sugary part of the sauce would caramelize too much, making the meat bitter and not very digestible.
6) Serve the chicken skewers with honey and soy with a portion of mixed greens to have a light and tasty dish!
