Chocolate and Coconut Cake

A soft dessert and particularly good prepared with the recipe for this chocolate and coconut cake, fantastic for breakfast or snack, I’d say always, haha!! An easy cake that combines the intense taste of chocolate with the distinctive flavor of coconut a real treat for the whole family!!

Chocolate and Coconut Cake

Ingredients for CHOCOLATE AND COCONUT CAKE

  • 1 1/4 cups Flour
  • 2/3 cup Coconut Flour
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 packet Baking Powder
  • 3 tablespoons Chocolate Hazelnut Spread
  • 2/3 cup Desiccated Coconut

Preparation for CHOCOLATE AND COCONUT CAKE

  • First, separate the egg whites from the yolks and beat the yolks well with the sugar.

    Melt the butter in a bain-marie or in the microwave and add it to the mixture.

    Sift the baking powder with the flour and unsweetened cocoa powder. coconut!!!

  • Then add the coconut flour alternating it with the milk (personally, I added almost a whole glass but it all depends on the flour’s absorption power, so…)

  • Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold them gently into the mixture with a flexible spatula, mixing carefully.

  • Pour the obtained batter into the buttered and floured pan and then bake the chocolate and coconut cake for about 40/45 minutes at 350°F.

  • When it’s done (always do the toothpick test), take it out of the oven and let it cool.

    Now spread the chocolate hazelnut spread on top and then sprinkle it with desiccated coconut.

  • If you really want to make it WOW, serve it with a nice dollop of whipped cream and serve this delicious chocolate and coconut cake!!
