These sweet treats, chocolate-covered mandarins, are super quick and truly delightful, just like cherries, one segment leads to another, haha… They are perfect as a little after-dinner dessert, and remember, choose seedless clementines and simply coat them with dark chocolate. As a final touch, if you follow this recipe, add some almond crumble!
There are many varieties of mandarins, citrus fruits rich in vitamins A, C, and B group, fibers, and minerals like potassium and magnesium.
Mandarins also help strengthen the immune system, fight fatigue, and give us energy and good humor!
Mandarins pair well with pecorino cheese, red mullet, and white meats…

Tips and Notes
For this quick recipe, it’s crucial to use good quality chocolate and melt it correctly, either in a bain-marie or in the microwave. Be very careful, as there is a risk of burning the chocolate, resulting in dry lumps that require starting the preparation over.
If you want to melt chocolate in a bain-marie, take a small pot, fill it with water, and cover it with a plate or bowl so the steam heats and melts the chopped chocolate. Ensure the water never touches the chocolate container as strong heat could burn the chocolate. Stir it as it begins to melt, and continue until fully melted.
If you want to melt chocolate in the microwave, after chopping it, place it in a microwave-safe container and heat it at a moderately low power for a few seconds.
Take out the container, stir it, and continue until the chocolate is perfectly melted and creamy.
I sprinkled the chocolate-covered mandarin segments with almond crumble, but you can use hazelnut crumble or coconut flakes… to your personal taste! If you like chocolate, I suggest the quick recipe for OREO Truffles… amazing!!!
