Ingredients
- 1 package puff pastry (rectangular)
- 1 egg yolk (to brush before baking)
- to taste Nutella®
- to taste pistachio cream
- to taste hazelnut crumble
- to taste pistachio crumble
- to taste granulated sugar
Tools
- Crimped wheels
- Parchment paper
- Pans
- Piping bag
- Cooling racks
Steps
Unroll the puff pastry keeping the parchment paper and divide it in half lengthwise.
Stack the two parts to obtain a thicker pastry, then press lightly with your hands or roll with a rolling pin to make them adhere.Sprinkle the entire surface with granulated sugar, distributing it evenly and regularly.
Roll up the puff pastry from the long side forming a tight and regular cylinder.
Use a sharp knife to cut slices about 0.6-0.8 inches thick, or as preferred.Brush each puff pastry spiral with the lightly beaten egg yolk.
Now place the puff pastry rolls on a baking tray previously lined with parchment paper, spaced apart, and bake them in a preheated static oven at 356°F for 20-25 minutes, until they are golden and crispy.
Once cooked, remove them from the oven and let cool completely on a cooling rack. When the rolls are cold, decorate the surface with zig-zags of Nutella and zig-zags of pistachio cream, both placed in two piping bags.
Do not overdo it with the quantity, just to complete them and make them more delicious, also adding a pinch of crumble for the crunchy note.
A little treat that disappears in a moment…
Enjoy and Happy New Year!

Notes
The thickness of the rolls can vary depending on how we roll and cut the puff pastry.
