Crostini with Tuna and Avocado Mousse: here is the classic quick and DELICIOUS recipe that disappeared in a flash, a real treat!
I confess that I ate a lot of these crostini, almost all of them if I really have to be honest (and in total there are 12 slices and 2 ends of bread), but the tuna and avocado cream is so good that I just couldn’t resist!
I preferred to toast the crostini under the oven grill for 3/4 minutes, but if you’re in a hurry, just use sliced bread and that’s it!
The avocado is a climacteric fruit, which means it’s a fruit that can ripen even if detached from the original plant, like apples, pears, bananas, kiwis, melons, etc. The simplest way to bring the avocado to the right ripeness to use in recipes is, as I said, to put the unripe avocado and a ripe apple in a bag and wait a couple of days….^_^!!!

Ingredients

  • 6 oz avocado (only pulp)
  • 3.5 oz tuna in oil (well drained)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 baguette (small)
  • 3/4 oz olives (20 grams of green olives slices and tomato slices for decoration)

Recipe Preparation: Crostini with Tuna and Avocado Mousse

  • For this very quick recipe, I slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices and put them under the oven grill for a few minutes.

    Once the bread is toasted, I let it cool and proceed to make the tuna and avocado mousse.

  • In the mini mixer container, I place the peeled and pitted avocado (which I decided to try planting this time, hehe), and then add the well-drained tuna in oil and start the blades, mixing everything.

  • I also add a tiny pinch of garlic, salt, and pepper and mix again. After tasting, I decided not to add more oil; I think the tuna and avocado mousse is perfect as it is!

  • While the sliced bread cools, I pit the giant green olives I had in the fridge and make a few small slices, doing the same for the already washed and dried tomato.

  • Now I assemble the crostini with tuna and avocado mousse, decorating them with 2 slices of olive and one of tomato, no, no, the other way around!

  • Serve immediately at the table and … enjoy with the oven-toasted crostini with tuna and avocado mousse!
