These delicious puff pastry cannoli filled with savory cream are a great idea for an appetizer that you can prepare in advance by making the puff pastry cannoli and filling them at the last moment to prevent the pastry from softening with the humidity of the filling sauce!
These savory filled croissants with puff pastry can also be prepared with shortcrust pastry, but we can also make appetizers like puff pastry baskets by making circles with a pastry cutter or a glass and placing them in upside-down molds or muffin molds!

FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE FILLED PUFF PASTRY CONES RECIPE

  • Unroll the package of puff pastry, letting the dough breathe for about ten minutes.

    Preheat the oven to 374°F.

  • Using a serrated wheel, cut several strips about 0.4/0.6 inches wide, carefully wrapping them around the aluminum cannoli cone.

Continue until you run out of dough, placing the puff pastry cannoli to be filled on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.

  • Finish preparing the cannoli to be filled as Christmas appetizers and slightly beat the egg yolk, brushing all the puff pastry cones already arranged on the baking tray.

  • Now bake them for about 15 minutes or until they are crispy and golden.

Meanwhile, prepare the savory mousses of your choice, cover them with plastic wrap, and store them in the fridge, ready to fill the savory puff pastry cannoli.

  • Let the puff pastry cones cool, and gently remove them from the aluminum cones.

  • All that’s left is to fill them with the prepared mousses, place them on the cups, and serve them to each guest.

Enjoy your filled puff pastry cones!
