Fresh and Quick Side Dish

A fresh and quick side dish, a tasty salad, and I would also add healthy with many ingredients full of excellent properties!

Not always do we have time to prepare exquisite dishes that might require long cooking or preparations, and occasionally a nice salad is an excellent quick and tasty meal: In this fresh and quick side dish I added lettuce, but a mix of mixed greens with lamb’s lettuce, arugula, red radicchio would also be perfect, some walnuts which are very good but be careful with the calories, feta the famous Greek cheese with a special taste, and seasonal fruit.

The pomegranate fruit is full of beneficial properties for our health because it is rich in vitamins, minerals, and other substances like flavonoids and antioxidants. Pomegranate juice is antitumoral, anticoagulant, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory, in short, it’s very good for you!

The clementines are small seedless citrus fruits rich in vitamin C, protecting against winter ailments and fighting flu and cold… I would say it is the perfect fresh and quick side dish for the upcoming winter, don’t you think???

Ingredients for FRESH AND QUICK SIDE DISH

  • to taste lettuce
  • to taste clementines
  • to taste feta
  • to taste walnut halves
  • to taste pomegranate
  • to taste apple cider vinegar
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste salt

Preparation for FRESH AND QUICK SIDE DISH

  • To prepare this rich and tasty mixed salad, first wash the salad leaves, whether lettuce or otherwise, and drain them well.

  • Cut the Greek feta into cubes.

    Take the pomegranate, cut it in half, gently extract the seeds, and set them aside.

  • In a bowl, place the salad and all the other ingredients, adding the dressing, a simple vinaigrette with apple cider vinegar, EVO oil, and fine salt.

  • Mix well and serve this fresh and quick side dish at the table!
