- Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients
- 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 6 1/3 oz butter
- 1 medium egg
- 7 tbsp sugar
- 4 tbsp milk (if needed to soften the dough)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 14 oz blueberries
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch (maizena)
Tools
tray 13 x 9 inches
- Trays
- Graters
Preparation
For the shortcrust pastry of the grated blueberry tart, put the sifted flour with the instant baking powder for desserts in a bowl.
Add the sugar and the cold butter cut into small cubes.
Mix well and finally add the medium egg and the milk measuring the amount.
Make a homogeneous dough that we will divide almost into 2 equal parts.
Wrap both in plastic wrap and place in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
In the meantime, line a mold with parchment paper, covering the edges of the tray as well.
After the resting time to harden the shortcrust pastry, take the larger part out of the freezer and grate it over the entire bottom of the tray, leveling the thickness.
Now combine the washed and dried blueberries sprinkled with the sugar and cornstarch, covering all the strands of grated shortcrust pastry.
At this point, take the other part of the dough and, again using the grater, cover the fresh blueberries with julienne-grated shortcrust pastry.
Now bake the grated blueberry tart at 350°F for about 50 minutes or according to your oven’s characteristics.
Let it cool for about 15 minutes then sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve at the table!
Enjoy your meal!
