All you need is a good ripe melon (today I bought an organic melon), a light syrup of water and sugar, a few drops of lemon, and a few minutes on the stove to get a delicious and colorful result.

  • Peel the melon, remove the seeds with a spoon, and cut the flesh into pieces about 1 inch in size.

  • Put the melon pieces into already sanitized and sterilized jars.

  • Pour the boiling syrup over the fruit, leaving 1 cm from the jar’s edge.

  • Seal tightly and sterilize the jars with the homemade syrup melon.

  • Let the various airtight containers rest away from light sources for a month before consuming the summer melon preserve with water, sugar, and lemon juice syrup.
