Today’s recipe is a white meat main course, the juicy lemon chicken, an easy recipe that requires a few simple steps, resulting in a dish you’ll never tire of eating, because the chicken meat is tender and delicious and so enveloped in the sweet and sour sauce that… I’ve fallen in love with it!
Chicken meat is a white meat that, along with pork, is very commonly used in our homes because it is nutritious, not very caloric, and also economical!
Chicken strips soaked in this shiny, tasty sauce are fragrant and very appetizing, a dish that can also be eaten at room temperature, making it suitable for the summer season!

Tools for JUICY LEMON CHICKEN RECIPE
#ADV
- Slotted Spoons
- Paper Towels
- Plastic Wrap
- Frying Pans
STEPS FOR PREPARING THE JUICY LEMON CHICKEN RECIPE
1) Start the recipe by cutting the chicken breast into thin strips and place them in a bowl
2) Then add the salt, pepper, lemon juice, flour, finely minced garlic, and milk, mixing well to combine all the ingredients.
3) Cover with plastic wrap and let it rest for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
4) While the meat is marinating, prepare the sweet and sour lemon sauce as follows:
5) In a saucepan, combine the lemon juice, sugar, honey, water, and cornstarch, and mix well with a mini hand whisk.
6) Then place the saucepan over moderate heat and let it thicken, stirring constantly: it will only take a few minutes, then turn off the heat and add the previously chopped lemon zest.
7) After the marinating time for the meat, heat plenty of vegetable oil in a frying pan, and when it reaches a temperature of about 340-356°F, start frying, turning the meat on both sides and collecting it with the slotted spoon as soon as it turns golden brown.
8) Now drain on absorbent paper and let cool for about ten minutes.
9) Now add new peanut oil and refry the meat, making it golden on both sides, always draining it on the appropriate paper.
10) All that’s left is to place the juicy lemon chicken strips on the serving dish and then drizzle them with the sweet and sour lemon sauce, mixing well and serving immediately!
Delicious… enjoy!

Annalisa says…
1) Marinating in general, and in this case for the meat, allows for a tender and fragrant preparation, and for this purpose, I’ll leave tips and instructions here
2) We can also marinate chicken meat with ingredients that we generally have at home, like lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil, perhaps adding aromatic herbs like parsley and basil.
