I broccoli are a vegetable that I love very much and often prepare easily and quickly, just blanched and sautéed in a pan with garlic and chili pepper. Today, with the sausage, I made a very tasty first course using a long pasta shape like linguine, but it’s a sauce that will also go great with short pasta like gramigna, sedanini, and more. I’ll go ahead in the kitchen to prepare the linguine with broccoli and sausage….

Ingredients RECIPE LINGUINE WITH BROCCOLI AND SAUSAGE
- 11.3 oz linguine
- 14.1 oz broccoli
- 12.3 oz sausage
- 1/4 cup Dry white wine
- 1 clove garlic
- to taste Extra virgin olive oil
- to taste salt
- to taste chili pepper (optional)
- to taste grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation A
Carefully detach the tops of the broccoli, wash them and blanch them in salted boiling water for 7/8 minutes.
In another pan, preferably non-stick, brown the sausage, skinned and in pieces, with a drizzle of oil and the garlic clove.
After about 10 minutes, add and let evaporate the dry white wine.
Drain the broccoli and put them in the pan with the sausage, sautéing them for 5/6 minutes (remove the garlic).
Cook the pasta, drain it al dente and put it in the pan with broccoli and sausage.
Adjust the salt, add the chili pepper if you like, and toss the pasta in the pan, mixing everything well.
Prepare the plates by adding grated Parmesan cheese to taste and a drizzle of raw extra virgin olive oil… Enjoy your meal with linguine with broccoli and sausage!!!

Broccoli belong to the Cruciferae family along with cauliflowers and turnips. These vegetables are a rich source of vitamins such as C, K, folic acid, minerals like potassium, iron, and manganese, and other compounds that have an antioxidant effect.
Remember that broccoli, being rich in insoluble fibers, can cause gas and bloating, especially in people suffering from gastritis or irritable bowel syndrome.
Lastly, broccoli is not recommended for people taking anticoagulant medications, as they may be affected by the action of vitamin K, and in case of hypothyroidism due to iodine deficiency, it is recommended to consume them in moderation, so… consult your general practitioner for more information!!!
