Oven Baked Marinated Chicken

Today a tasty, tender, and spicy main course with oven-baked marinated chicken.


Meat marinating is a very simple way to flavor meat (but also fish and vegetables, huh) by leaving it for a certain time wrapped in liquid spices and various seasonings before cooking it normally.


Generally, the marinade consists of a fat that hydrates the meat, an acid that starts to “cook” the food, and a variety of spices and aromas that flavor the meat.


Once the marinade ingredients are chosen, you need to massage the meat with them, then seal the container and store everything in the refrigerator for a few hours.
Even just aromatic herbs and a little extra virgin olive oil and lemon juice are enough to flavor a chicken breast that will be tender and very tasty when cooked!

  • 1 tablespoon curry
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon chili pepper (powdered)
  • 1 tablespoon turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon sage (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon rosemary (chopped)
  • 1 clove garlic (chopped)
  • 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons lemon (juice)
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1.76 lbs chicken (for me chicken thighs)

FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE OVEN BAKED MARINATED CHICKEN RECIPE

  • Finely chop the aromatic herbs and put them in a large bowl suitable for containing the chicken pieces.

  • In the same bowl, add the spices, namely paprika, curry, chili pepper, and turmeric.

  • Now, pour into the bowl with the spices and aromatic herbs, the lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil.

    Also add the chicken pieces and mix very well, massaging the meat and thoroughly mixing the flavors.

  • Then seal the bowl well with plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 3-4 hours.

  • Afterwards, line a baking pan and place, adding the marinade diluted with a couple of ladles of water, the marinated chicken pieces and season with salt and pepper.

    Bake now in a preheated oven at 375°F and let cook for 45 minutes or according to the characteristics of your appliance.

    Once cooked, serve it now with a simple side dish like parsley potatoes.
