This dressing for the pasta with Trapanese pesto original recipe is uniquely delicious and so quick and fresh that it takes less than 5 minutes to enjoy a truly delicious pasta!!!! I always have a thousand recipes in my head, and this one had been circling in my mind for some time…
It’s a very ancient dish: in the port, Trapani was a stopover for Genoese ships coming from the East, bringing the tradition of Ligurian agliata, based on garlic and walnuts, which the sailors from Trapani elaborated with products from their land, tomatoes, and almonds. (Wikipedia teaches)
I used a short pasta format because I think it’s more suitable, so feel free to use macaroni, penne, sedanini, and rigatoni for a dish with great taste and almost excessive simplicity!
Main courses with raw pesto as a dressing, meaning no cooking, are ideal for summer lunches because they are very fast; you don’t need to turn on stoves or ovens, and the result is creamy and appetizing, a fantastic summer and beach main course!
These kinds of quick summer main courses are also perfect for setting up a tasty buffet for a dinner or a summer lunch. You can also make them light using summer vegetables that add flavor and taste with the addition of a few other ingredients for simple and economical dishes!
