  • Cooking methods: Oven

Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry (OR BRISE)
  • 4 Coscia pears
  • 1 package gorgonzola (sweet or spicy to taste)
  • 10 walnut halves
  • 2 tablespoons honey (wildflower or acacia)

Pear, Blue Cheese, and Walnut Tart Recipe Preparation

  • For this simple recipe first, I preheat the oven to 392°F.

I unroll the puff pastry and create a small edge on each side of the pastry rectangle.

  • I wash, slice the pears removing the seeds, and also clean the thyme sprigs.

  • I sprinkle 2/3 of the grated cheese on the base then arrange the pear slices neatly.

  • I add the rest of the cheese, then place the pieces of sweet or spicy gorgonzola to taste.

  • To flavor the tart with pears, gorgonzola, and chopped walnut pieces, I add the thyme sprigs and flavor with honey.

  • I adjust the salt and pepper, then bake this very quick and tasty savory tart with fruit and blue cheese for about 25 minutes or depending on your oven’s characteristics.

  • Enjoy!
