I bought a home coffee and beverage machine a month ago and while shopping at the Capsuleria in the Fossolo center, I was gifted a package of plant-based milk from oat beverage and wondered… What should I do with it? I apologize, but I have tasted almond and hazelnut ‘milk’, but with oatmeal, I had no experience.
And this plum cake with plant-based milk, meaning oat milk or a 100% vegan oat-based beverage with no added sugars, has won me over! The flavor is delicate and fragrant, the texture is very soft, and the addition of chocolate chips and small oat flakes makes it tasty and delightful!
Oats , when consumed in the form of cereals obtained from roasted grains, are an excellent source of protein and thiamine or vitamin B1.
It was already described by Pliny the Elder. Being very nutritious, it regulates the thyroid, strengthens the tendons and bones, so much so that it was given to horses for good muscle development.
It is also useful as a supplement for those suffering from insomnia, depression, and appetite disorders, and it also regulates cholesterol.
Oats are gluten-free, rich in minerals, and also contain vitamins B, C, and E.
Oats also have laxative properties and prevent osteoporosis thanks to their high calcium levels.
Thanks to its numerous properties, oatmeal is widely used in the cosmetics field, and it is a great remedy for dry, sensitive, and dehydrated skin as well as helping to strengthen hair.

PLUM CAKE WITH OAT MILK BEVERAGE

Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup rice flour
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp corn oil
- 2/3 cup plant-based milk (oat beverage with 1 tsp of cinnamon added)
- 1 packet baking powder
- 2 tbsp dark chocolate chips
- 1 tbsp oat flakes (optional)
- 3/4 cup sugar

Steps
A very basic little recipe with this grain I didn’t know oats.…
1) Beat the eggs with the sugar in a bowl for a few minutes to achieve a light and fluffy mixture.
2) Now add the oat beverage enhanced with a teaspoon of cinnamon powder and the corn oil. Drizzle it in to monitor the consistency since flour always has different absorption rates!
3) Sift the rice and all-purpose flour with the baking powder and then add the powders to the liquids
4) Line a loaf pan with parchment paper and pour in the oat milk-based mixture.
5) Sprinkle with chocolate chips and some oat flakes.
6) Bake at 340°F (170°C) for about 40 minutes or depending on your oven at home.
7) Once done baking, let it cool, then remove and finish cooling on a cooling rack.
8) Ready to taste the plum cake with oat milk beverage without added sugar and dark chocolate chips! ?
