A great preparation also at room temperature and excellent not only as a main course or savory pie but also cut into slices for a savory appetizer buffet!! Let’s go to the kitchen, you’re following me, right?

Ingredients for PUFF PASTRY PIE with mortadella and zucchini
- 1 package ready-made puff pastry
- 4 Eggs
- 200 ml Milk
- 3 zucchini
- 7 oz mortadella
- 7 oz scamorza
- to taste unsalted pistachios
- to taste salt and pepper
Tools for PUFF PASTRY PIE with mortadella and zucchini
- Baking Pans
- Knives
- Bowls
Preparation for PUFF PASTRY PIE with mortadella and zucchini
Wash and trim the zucchini, then slice them lengthwise into thin slices, preferably using a mandoline.
Thinly slice the scamorza and cut each slice of mortadella into 3 strips.
Match each slice of zucchini with a slice of scamorza and a slice of mortadella as if they were long and narrow stuffed sandwiches.
Place the scamorza, mortadella, and zucchini sandwiches vertically in the baking pan starting from the center and continuing to form a delicious spiral.
Beat the eggs with the milk in a bowl, season with salt and pepper, and carefully pour this mixture into the center of the filled spiral.
Sprinkle with chopped unsalted pistachios and place the pan in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 40 minutes or according to your oven’s characteristics.
Turn off the oven, let it cool slightly, and serve this very tasty savory pie, the puff pastry pie with mortadella and zucchini, at the table!
