What could be better than drinking a quick and refreshing lemonade in summer? The lemon is a hybrid citrus fruit (it seems to be a cross between grapefruit and citron) that appears to have originated in China, and there are also depictions representing it in Carthage and Pompeii.
The lemon is low in calories, is rich in potassium and vitamin C, is an antioxidant, and fights free radicals. It also aids digestion with the legendary canarino! The canarino that my wonderful grandmother taught me (I LOVE YOU and WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU wherever you are ♥) is nothing more than a cup of water with a zest of an untreated lemon boiled for a few minutes and properly cooled, to be sipped slowly. It’s a boon if you’re feeling nauseous or heavy!
The lemon is antibacterial, boosts the immune system against colds and flu, is also an antifungal, and the essential oil is useful for fighting acne and skin impurities.
And let’s not forget the fantastic use of lemon in cooking because it can replace vinegar, is fantastic for flavoring creams and desserts, is always used to prevent fruit (but also artichokes, for example) from turning brown and much more!

- 3 lemons
- 5.3 oz Sugar
- 2/3 cup water (For the syrup)
- 2 cups water (500-600 g)

Preparation of the Fresh and Refreshing Lemonade Recipe
Let’s prepare the syrup by dissolving the sugar in a small pan over medium heat with the 150 grams of water indicated in the doses.
Completely dissolve the sugar, let it simmer for a couple of minutes, then turn off the heat and let it cool.
Squeeze the lemons and pour the juice into the serving pitcher. Add the warm syrup and the remaining water.
