This quick cake with ready bases is a breeze because, apart from the colored royal icing and a cream of whipped cream, mascarpone, and Nutella, it’s made with ready bases and is definitely very quick.
Let’s say it’s the cake that, if you have a supermarket nearby, you can prepare in 45 minutes including the shopping trip!
If you don’t even want to make the filling and coating cream, whip some cream with powdered sugar and you’re done!
In short, it’s a very quick sweet treat!

IF YOU WANT IT LIKE THE PHOTO, put in the stand mixer or any bowl 2 cups of cream, 1 cup of mascarpone and Nutella to taste, adding it slowly!
I did not soak the sponge cake, which was very soft, but if you want, make a classic soak with water and sugar syrup or use a few tablespoons of milk, especially if the guests are kids!

- 1 sponge cake
- 1 package cream puffs
- as needed icing (royal)
- as needed colored sprinkles (flowers or whatever you prefer)
- 2 cups whipping cream (for the cream puffs)

FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE QUICK CAKE WITH READY BASES RECIPE
I prepare a decent amount of white icing and then divide it into as many bowls as there are colors I want to use to glaze the cream puffs already filled with whipped cream.
From the sponge cake, I cut out a triangle which I fill with the creams I prefer or with just whipped cream, sweetened to taste.
Whether I fill it or not, I coat the ice cream cone with cream, then, after filling the cream puffs with cream (or whatever I prefer), I glaze them as desired and position them like ice cream scoops on the sponge cake cone.
IN SHORT, it’s just an idea that you can set up, assemble, and decorate as you/we like!
