Quick Cheese Croissants

Here is a super quick recipe to prepare something savory to accompany sauces, cold cuts, and soft cheeses for the appetizer: quick cheese croissants!!!!!

Personally, I have eaten these little rolls as a side, but if you like, cut them in half and fill them with a thin slice of cheese, a piece of cooked ham, some shrimp, and cocktail sauce, a herb omelet, some pieces of sun-dried tomato in oil….

  • 1 package puff pastry
  • 5.3 oz spreadable cheese
  • 1.1 oz Grana Padano cheese, grated
  • 1 egg yolk
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

FOR THE PREPARATION OF QUICK CHEESE CROISSANTS RECIPE

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F static.

    Unroll the rectangular package preferably placing it on a work surface or any flat…flat surface!

    In a bowl, put the spreadable cheese with the Grana (keeping a little bit to sprinkle on top of the mini croissants before putting the rolls in the oven).

  • Add a little salt and pepper and mix this creamy mixture well.

    Divide the puff pastry in half lengthwise, creating triangles that you spread with this cream excluding the outer edges.

    Then roll up the triangles starting from the widest part and tighten the pastry well.

  • At this point, beat the egg yolk with a little water and brush this emulsion on the croissants and sprinkle the grated Grana cheese that was kept at the beginning of the recipe.

    Place the mini cheese savory croissants on the baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake for about 25 minutes or according to the characteristics of your home oven.

    Once slightly warm, we are ready to set up the buffet by adding creamy savory mousses, cubes of primosale cheese, seasoned olives, and everything you like!
