Quick Puff Pastry with Spinach

I always have a roll of puff pastry in the fridge because… you never know when you might need it, haha! Today I prepared the quick puff pastry with spinach to make a dinner without too much work in the kitchen, paired with two boiled eggs and a little more.

Personally, I really like these quick puff pastries that you can also make by adding other ingredients like prosciutto, ricotta to mix with the spinach, and much more….

Ingredients QUICK PUFF PASTRY WITH SPINACH

  • 1 roll of puff pastry (rectangular)
  • 1 scamorza cheese (smoked for me)
  • 12 oz spinach
  • 2 tbsps Grana padano (grated)
  • 2.5 oz Ham (diced for me)
  • 2 tbsps Milk (before baking)
  • to taste Butter
  • to taste salt

  • Casserole
  • Colander
  • Spatula

Preparation QUICK PUFF PASTRY WITH SPINACH

  • Blanch the spinach in salted boiling water. Drain them very well and sauté them in a pan with a touch of butter. Also add some grana and mix the mixture well.

  • Adjust the salt. Unroll the rectangle of puff pastry and place the sautéed spinach on one half.

    Now add the diced ham.

  • Also add the slices of smoked scamorza and close, covering the filling with the unfilled puff pastry.

  • Seal the edges well with the prongs of a fork.

    Make a few small holes on the surface with the fork.

  • Brush the surface with milk. Bake in a preheated oven at 392°F for about 30 minutes or depending on the characteristics of your oven.

  • Easy and fragrant, enjoy your quick puff pastry with spinach!
