Savory Puff Pastry with Broccoli and Salmon

in

Another savory tart — the recipe for this savory puff pastry with broccoli and salmon, very simple to prepare using a ready-made puff pastry base available at the supermarket.

I used fresh salmon fillet which I cut into cubes and added to a loose batter together with thin slices of raw broccoli placed in the pastry shell.

If you prefer, instead of salmon you can add shellfish such as large prawns and/or shrimp!

FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE SAVORY PUFF PASTRY WITH BROCCOLI AND SALMON

  • Line the puff pastry in the pan keeping the parchment paper already in the package, lifting a little pastry over the edges of the tin.

With the tines of a fork, prick a few holes in the bottom, then sprinkle the whole surface with a heaping tablespoon of breadcrumbs.

  • Wash the broccoli florets and slice them about half a centimeter thick (about 1/4 inch).

Cut the fresh salmon fillet into cubes as well.

Beat the eggs with the cream in a bowl, add the grated cheese and season with salt and pepper.

  • Pour the egg mixture into the parchment-lined pan, then arrange the eggs, the salmon and the broccoli and bake for about 30/40 minutes, depending on your home oven.

    Let cool, then serve.

The puff pastry quiche with broccoli and salmon is very delicate and can be used as a main dish but also as an easy appetizer!

    Enjoy your meal! Annalisa
