Among the various fish, I certainly prefer sea bass, but this sea bream with leeks and herbs has also won over my taste buds because the meat remains firm, compact, and very fragrant!
The sea bream is a lean and tasty fish, with a good content of protein and omega-3 which protects cardiovascular health, while calcium and phosphorus protect the health of teeth and bones.
It is a fish recommended even for those who follow a low-calorie diet and pairs well with seasonal vegetables such as peppers, zucchini, eggplant, but also spinach and chard.

FOR THE PREPARATION OF SEA BREAM WITH LEEKS AND HERBS
I wash the leeks and take the outer leaves, which I will place in a saucepan with boiling water for about ten minutes to soften them so they can be used to wrap the fish.
I cut the remaining leeks into rings, taking only the white part.
I peel and chop the garlic clove along with the peel of an organic or untreated lemon.
In a skillet, I cook the leek rings for about ten minutes in a little extra virgin olive oil with the garlic, lemon peel, and a few parsley leaves.
The leek should become transparent and the mixture will be creamy and very fragrant.
I stuff the inside of the breams with this creamy sauce and then wrap the fish with the softened strips in boiling water.
I arrange the stuffed and garnished breams in a baking dish, then add a few lemon slices, a little extra virgin olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
I bake in a preheated oven at 392°F for about 25/30 minutes, depending on the weight of each bream and the home oven.
When cooking is complete, it’s time to serve the stuffed breams wrapped with leeks!
Enjoy your meal!
