Shortbread Masks – Carnival Recipe

How fast time flies, darn it: yesterday I was preparing the cotechino and now we’re already in the middle of Carnival..it’s not fair eh!!!
Among all the fried sweets typical of the Carnival period popping up everywhere, today to not be too caloric, I made a shortbread and with the cutters I got I made these crispy and delicious masks!

In some, I put sugar sprinkles in others some decoration with the icing but mostly I left them bare adding a little icing sugar just before eating.

They are cute, I must say these molds to make the masks (which I indicate among the recipe tools) are just perfect and the shortbread shapes beautifully and comes out without smudges or anything else highly recommended!

A simple yet striking little sweet, I think!

In this 2025, Carnival starts on February 16 and ends on March 4, Ash Wednesday, thus preceding the start of Lent.
