Simple and Tasty Gratin Zucchini a summer side dish but also a delicious and absolutely appetizing appetizer!

In the breading I only put grated pecorino, but if you want, you can make it half cheese and half breadcrumbs…
You could also add somechopped parsley but my guests did not like it, and out of respect, I didn’t add it. Thepecorino is quite a savory cheese, so I didn’t add salt but just a pinch of white pepper…

Ingredients SIMPLE AND TASTY GRATIN ZUCCHINI RECIPE

  • 5 zucchinis
  • 2.5 oz pecorino (grated)
  • to taste white pepper

FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE SIMPLE AND TASTY GRATIN ZUCCHINI RECIPE

  • Trim, wash the zucchinis

    and slice them thinly, possibly with the mandoline.
    Blanch them for about 3 minutes in a pot full of water at boiling point.

  • Drain them and arrange the zucchini slices in a single layer on the baking tray lined with parchment paper.

    Then sprinkle them with grated pecorino, add a pinch of white pepper and do not add salt.

  • Bake the gratin zucchinis under the grill mode and let them brown for a few minutes, making sure they do not darken too much.

  • Great warm or cold, a good side dish for meat and fish or as a simple and tasty appetizer!
