Always on the topic of QUICK APPETIZERS/APERITIFS, here are some other ideas just below:

- Difficulty: Very easy
- Cost: Affordable
- Preparation time: 15 Minutes
- Portions: 4
- Cooking methods: No cooking
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: All seasons
Ingredients
- 1 baguette
- to taste spreadable cheese (or robiola or goat cheese)
- to taste salami (Milano or Hungarian)
- to taste arugula (or basil or parsley)
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
Tools
- Knives
- Shot Glasses
- Cutting Boards
- Piping Bags
Two Steps for a Quick Appetizer to Fill to Your Liking
Slice the baguette into pieces about 1.5-2 inches thick
Using a shot glass or your fingers, gently press the center of the bread to create a cavity (without piercing it).
Place the spreadable cheese (or your personal choice) in a bowl and season with salt and pepper and, if desired, a bit of extra virgin olive oil.
Put the cream in a piping bag and fill the baguette bread bowls.
Cut the salami slices in half, roll them into small roses, and place them on top.
Add a leaf of arugula/basil/parsley, and let’s eat!
Enjoy your meal and happy cooking! Annalisa
Storage
The baguette bowls can be prepared in advance and stored for up to a day:
👉 Unfilled: place them in an airtight container, at room temperature, in a cool, dry place.
👉 Filled: it’s better to consume them immediately to avoid the bread losing its texture and becoming soggy! If filled with mousse or cheeses, keep them in the refrigerator and serve within a few hours!
