Ingredients for Sugar Grain Cookies RECIPE
Sugar Grain Cookies … these cookies, which I weighed one by one (18 grams per piece), but they all turned out different from one another, darn it, have a particularly interesting batter!
Good quality dark chocolate melted in a double boiler or microwave, a minimal amount of coffee powder and unsweetened cocoa powder… quite unique, don’t you think?
If you love less sweet sweets, ok, otherwise use sugared cocoa… a friendly tip!
- 4.2 oz sugar
- 2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 egg (medium)
- 1 1/2 packet baking powder
- 2 pinches salt
- 3.5 oz vegetable oil (I use corn)
- 0.35 oz unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoon coffee powder
- as needed water (about 2.5 oz)

Preparation for Sugar Grain Cookies RECIPE
Sift the flour with baking powder and unsweetened cocoa.
Add salt and sugar.
Now pour in the oil, the egg yolk (keep the egg white aside) and the coffee.
Now gradually add water to get a dough that doesn’t stick to your fingers and is perfect for making balls of about 18 grams.
Pass each sugar grain cookie in the slightly beaten egg white and then in the sugar grains.
Place each cookie with sugar grains on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper well spaced apart.
Then bake at 340°F for about 20 minutes or depending on the characteristics of your appliance..
Let them cool completely then … ready for snack time???
