SUPER APPETIZING SAVORY ROLL

This super appetizing savory roll I made today is delicious!!!! Well, you made it yourself… you might say, haha, but those who follow me know, or at least I hope you can read between the lines, that I am sincere, and if I go on saying that a recipe is so very appetizing and that we fought over it, Andrea and I, the teenage troublemaker in the house, you know I’m not lying or exaggerating!!!

This simple savory pie is very tasty and is quickly made with theready-made pizza base, the one you can conveniently find in the supermarket’s refrigerator section.

I used some cheese I had at home (Edam) but you can also use other slices like Maasdam, Fontina, Asiago, etc. This stuffed savory rustic dish is also delicious as an appetizer cut into cubes and will be our dinner with the addition of a nice mixed salad!

Ingredients RECIPE SUPER APPETIZING SAVORY ROLL

  • 14.1 oz ready-made pizza base (the package is 13.6 oz)
  • 7.1 oz Cooked ham
  • 5.3 oz Edam cheese
  • 1 tbsp capers in salt
  • 1 shallot (large)
  • 7.1 oz spinach,
  • as needed Extra virgin olive oil
  • as needed salt and pepper

  • Baking Sheet
  • Saucepan
  • Knife

PREPARATION FOR THE SUPER APPETIZING SAVORY ROLL RECIPE

  • Blanch the washed spinach

    in very little water for 3/4 minutes.
    Drain them well, trying to squeeze out as much water as possible.

  • Finely chop the peeled shallot and sauté it in a pan with a little extra virgin olive oil. Now add the spinach letting it cook on low heat for 5/7 minutes.

  • Unroll the ready-made pizza dough keeping the protective paper and spread the desalted capers on top. Add the sautéed spinach and some cheese strips.

  • To finish the filling of the savory roll with ready-made base, place the cooked ham on top, and finish with the remaining cheese.

    Roll up the stuffed super appetizing savory roll from the longest side and seal the dough edges with a little running water.

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F and cook for about 30/35 minutes or until the surface of this appetizing savory pie is golden.

    Let it cool for a few minutes and serve the super appetizing savory roll cut into slices. Enjoy your meal and have a nice day!
