The sweet chicks in the nest for Easter are small treats made of a cornflakes shell and a delicious cream where I went crazy to place chocolate chips as eyes and smarties as beaks!
It’s undoubtedly a silly idea, but I decided to do it after seeing a photo on a blog while browsing the web, and here I am satisfied!
During the Easter period, there is an abundance of recipes like these: cookies with an egg-shaped hole with cream, bunnies with chocolate-dipped ears, glazed lambs, and instead, I have chicks in the nest, there you go!
It seems complicated to make them, but I assure you it is not!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The quantities for the sweet chicks in the Easter nest are not exact to the milligram because they depend on the size of the eggs and thus the egg whites…
I used chocolate chips because it’s hassle-free, but if you want, insert a drop of melted chocolate in a tiny piping bag, a parchment paper cone, and make them yourself! I didn’t even try, ha ha!

FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE RECIPE SWEET CHICKS IN THE NEST FOR EASTER
I put the egg whites, the coarsely crumbled corn flakes, and the powdered sugar.
I mix everything very well, then I turn on the oven to 356°F static.
I cut squares of parchment paper 2.5/3 inches which I force into the muffin mold cavities with a cup or a small glass and then fill them with this mix, pressing it into the bottom and sides of the mold, thus creating a shell!
I bake making them golden and with crunchy edges and a nice toasted color.
I let them cool and at the same time put the cream with the chopped white chocolate in a small pan, melting it in the microwave or in a double boiler.
I add a few drops of liquid coloring to obtain a light yellow and as soon as it’s tepid, I pour it into the cornflakes shells and leave it to rest again for about twenty minutes.
Lastly, I place the chocolate chips as eyes and an orange smartie as a beak…
I place them in the refrigerator until it is time to taste and ….
Enjoy your meal!
