YOGURT AND OAT FLAKES WITH BANANA AND CHOCOLATE, the breakfast that gets you out of bed!
By now we have learned, breakfast is the most important meal of the day because it gives us the right energy and the necessary strength to better face various tasks.
Today I present this recipe for a Breakfast of Oat Flakes, Banana, and Greek Yogurt, a sort of Porridge that is prepared in very little time, rich in energy and taste.
A nice cup of this dessert of Anglo-Saxon origins and we will be ready to face the challenges of the day whether in the office, at school, at home for household chores, or, for those who can afford it, for being tourists in villages and cities.
An extremely easy recipe with banana flavor, this fruit is mixed together with oat flakes and water, flavored to taste with cinnamon or vanilla, and sweetened with honey. Mash the banana and mix the compound, then add a layer of Yogurt and garnish according to your taste (I use melted dark chocolate) and the game is done.
You can also watch the video found within the recipe to follow each step, although I assure you it’s really easy, and I’m sure you won’t need it.
It is delicious and you can modify the topping in many ways: with hazelnut cream, pistachio cream, peanut butter, and much more, and decorate with fresh or dried fruit or chocolate chips.
You’ll see how this simple breakfast will satisfy you, without weighing you down too much, for a long time, and you’ll reach lunch without that annoying feeling of hunger.
And if during the day you feel hungry or even in the evening after dinner you want to treat yourself to a dessert, this cup of Banana Porridge, also called CHOCOLATE BANANA OVERNIGHT OATS, will be perfect.
What are you waiting for then, let’s start preparing it together!

HOW TO PREPARE BREAKFAST WITH OAT FLAKES GREEK YOGURT BANANA AND CHOCOLATE
In a bowl, pour the oats, water, a pinch of cinnamon (or vanilla), half a banana, and the honey. Mash the banana with a fork then stir the mixture until it is smooth and creamy, without lumps. Put it in the microwave for 1 minute, then let it cool slightly.
Transfer the Porridge into a single-serving cup and add a layer of Greek yogurt on top. Put it in the fridge for at least 4 hours, better if overnight. Before consuming, garnish with melted dark chocolate, in the microwave or bain-marie, and decorate with hazelnut crumbs or banana slices. Enjoy your breakfast!
NOTES
WATER For an even creamier porridge, you can replace water with an equal amount of cow’s milk or plant-based drink (soy, almond, oat, rice).
HONEY You can replace honey with maple syrup or a sweetener for a light version.
CINNAMON If you don’t like this spice, you can omit it, but if you still want to flavor the Porridge, replace it with vanilla bean seeds.
COOKING If you don’t have a microwave, proceed as follows. After mashing the banana, set it aside. Meanwhile, pour the oat flakes and water into a saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring for a couple of minutes. Then add the mashed banana, honey, and cinnamon. Continue stirring and finish cooking for about another 2 minutes. When the oat flakes mixture is cooked, pour it still hot into the bowl you chose to enjoy your porridge and layer it with yogurt. Let it rest in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
STORAGE
The Chocolate and Banana Oatmeal Porridge can be prepared the night before for the next day, indeed it will be even tastier. Once ready, it keeps in the fridge closed in a container for up to 2 days.
