Pasta with Ricotta: A Creamy Traditional Sicilian Dish

The pasta with ricotta is a creamy first course of the Ragusa tradition, also known as pasta with ricotta alla ragusana or alla siciliana.
It’s simple and quick to prepare, to be enjoyed in numerous variations.

Even though ricotta is considered a low-fat cheese, it’s still a source of fats, so grated cheese, oil, and other fats like nuts should be added in moderation.

The pasta with ricotta is a one-dish meal as it combines the characteristics of a balanced meal in a single course.

It is a cherished recipe passed down from generation to generation.
